Yesterday, after dim sum, Nita came by. We lured her in by promising her Laurelwood Brewery's Moose & Squirrel Russian Imperial Stout, which we did deliver. Yum. She is arguably a bigger cat slave than myself or my partner, which is pretty impressive, indeed.
So I was very excited to expose her to the special catnip body pillow, because I was sure she was going to be really impressed.
She, of course, already had one! But she very much enjoyed watching our cats take turns with the pillow.
This is Nigella. Nigella is a very silly girl. She obsessively grooms, she talks almost incessantly, and she's a very needy cat. And she seems to like the pillow.
So, I know this isn't dimensions or the creator's address or anything. But know that my cats love it in a way that I have never seen them love anything.
Now, on to more pictures of cats. Very happy, but not stoned cats.
Follette:
and Natasha:
Earlier this year, we talked about getting a kitten. And I gathered up our three indoor cats and had an earnest discussion with them. It went something like this:
VJ: so we've been talking about getting a kitten. But you know what? We don't need to get a kitten.
Nigella: roaw?
VJ: That's right. We just want you guys to be more affectionate. To be lap cats. If you could do that, we wouldn't need a kitten.
Nigella: Maooooow! Rerooooaaam?
We didn't get the kitten in the end.
There's Follette, who is scared of everything. Nigella, who likes to follow us around and yell at us (though she is capable of a discussion). And Natasha, who tends to sit in front of my partner and look up at him, lovingly, but won't tolerate being touched.
In the last couple of days, Tasha has come and sat in my lap multiple times. It's a crapshoot still whether she'll let me pet her, which sometimes she loves and sometimes she hates. At one point today, she sat on my lap, and I tried to pet her, so she moved off--and sat on my feet. Oh! Today, when I'd work on homework, she'd come and sit on the desk, try to block the computer, or sit on my exercise book. I can't believe how cute she's being, and that she suddenly seems crazy about me.
