Link: Find someone on Vox who has the same name as yours. Any similarities?
Not surprisingly, no. I looked up VJ, and there's someone in India, the Russian Federation, the Ukraine, the United States. Most of the VJs had no blog entries, no real profile. The one person who did have a fairly developed blog... well, I think the similarities might be race and gender.
I could look up Vicki, which is my legal first name, but I think this could easily become an exercise to keep me from working. And I think I've procrastinated enough for this morning.
Show us something steep.
This is a picture I took during last year's Columbia Gorge Marathon. At one time, it was considered to be the toughest marathon in the US. And while it's been tamed down, it's still not a cake walk.
Course Profile:
Elevation High: 804 Feet
Elevation Low: 80 Feet
Elevation Start: 88 Feet
Elevation Finish: 80 Feet
The great part of it (notice, said a year and a half later) is that there are two 700+ ft rises and drops on the course. So you're almost always either heading up a steep hill, or heading down.
The course goes from the east side of the Dalles to the east side of Hood River, mostly following the Historic Columbia River Highway.
This shot is from Rowena Pass. So, you can't really see how steep it is, but really, there is quite a drop there, and really no shoulder to speak of. And that road below? That's Interstate Hwy 84.
Take a photo of something in motion.

These were taken at this year's Pedalpalooza Kick Ass Parade, here in Portland. Pedalpalooza is 2+ weeks of hardcore bike fun, beginning with this parade and ending with the Multnomah County Bike Fair.
Here is one of my favorite pictures from the Bike Fair this year. I took it during Tall Bike Jousting.
Show us a sign.
Submitted by the roo.
But what kind of sign? A homemade sign?
A street sign?
A municipal sign?
A business sign?
A sign from G-d?
